During our EOFY Giving Campaign in 2024, Arts Law raised $48,900

Thank you to all our supporters who donated to Arts Law this End-of-Financial-Year. We know times are tough, and your willingness to stand with us is exemplary of the broader arts community’s resilience and generosity. Rising costs also impact Arts Law’s costs to operate, undertake outreach, and provide legal advice, so we are deeply grateful for donations of all size.

In June Arts Law raised $48,900, and we are pleased to welcome new Allies to our organisation. Arts Law carries out unique work as Australia’s only national legal centre for the arts, providing expert advice to creatives throughout Australia. Your donations help us continue work such as:

  • Outreach. This year, we have been able to visit terrific art centres in the Tiwi Islands, Northern Territory, Pilbara, and more. This program, run as part of our Artists in the Black service, ensures that no artist is left vulnerable simply because of where they live.
  • Legal Advice. Just like with Outreach, our Telephone Legal Advice and Document Review Service mean that artists can speak with a lawyer from anywhere. Up in Broome or down in Brunswick? We have your back.
  • Advocacy. Competitions can be fantastic ways to raise your profile and earn some income as an artist – but not all competitions are equal. We regularly review the Ts&Cs of popular prizes so that artists can be sure their rights are protected.
