This template Copyright Licence – Manufacturing Agreement should be used when an Artist wants to use an image of an existing artwork (such as a painting, print, or drawing) (Image) on merchandise and products (Products).
This template agreement assumes that the Artist owns the copyright in the Image and is therefore the contracting party with the manufacturer. If that is not the case, this agreement is not appropriate.
This template agreement also assumes that the Artist will be entering into the agreement as a party. If the Artist is a member of an Art Centre and the Art Centre has authority to enter into a manufacturing agreement on behalf of the Artist, then the template agreement can be amended to reflect this.
