Rosalind Touches Down: Meet Our New Solicitor

Photo of Rosalind Moffatt.

Rosalind, who recently started working with Arts Law, can be considered our new South Coast representative. Certainly no stranger to Arts Law (having previously worked with us on a voluntary basis), Rosalind is originally from Ireland and grew up in an artistic household. Her Dad is a professional stained-glass artist, an interest that she too shares, alongside attending galleries and concerts.

Rosalind has a wide range of experience in law, starting out her career in the music industry and then spending several years working in private practice between Dublin, London and Sydney. Specialising in the areas of contracts, technology, privacy and copyright, she thoroughly enjoys empowering people by informing them of their rights and giving direction to individuals with new start up businesses or ideas. Being a proud owner of a cafe in Jervis Bay, Rosalind understands the challenges and legal constraints when starting a business.

For the past couple of years, Rosalind has been a board member and helped establish South Coast Arts. South Coast Arts facilitates projects that support artists and create social connectedness and wellbeing throughout Kiama, Shellharbour and the Shoalhaven. She is looking forward to sharing her regional knowledge with Arts Law to enhance its services across the region.

At Arts Law, Rosalind will be advising clients through our telephone legal and document review services, whilst dealing with copyright, licensing, employment, website terms and contracts generally. She will also be involved with our educational workshops and advocacy projects. Rosalind has a very keen interest in supporting and empowering first nation artists through her work at Arts Law.
