Artists in the Black at Yabun 2020
This January 26 Artists in the Black, a service of Arts Law, hosted a stall at Yabun Festival along with our friends from Community Legal Centres NSW and the Australian Centre for Disability Law. It was also great to see so many other legal centres hosting stalls.
Despite the heat and humidity, the turnout throughout the day was incredible. The crowd was varied, and we spoke with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, teachers who work with emerging artists, Australian and International tourists concerned about fake Aboriginal arts and products. It was great to hear your feedback and we were overwhelmed with the support shown for us and the Fake Art Harms Culture campaign.
Thank you to the Arts Law staff who volunteered their time to help answer questions and educate the public about Arts Law services and Artists in the Black.
